An introduction to immediate early genes (IEGs) and their role in behavioral neuroscience research. Poster will include an overview of IEGs as neural activity markers, as well as data displaying the expression of the IEG, c-fos, in oxytocin producing neurons of the hypothalamus in the Syrian hamster (Mesocricetus Auratus).
