This research studies the process behavior for selective laser alloying of pure Titanium (Ti) and Boron (B) powders using an automated powder deposition mechanism currently being developed. Samples will be produced to test mechanical properties including strength, electrical conductivity, oxidation stability, erosion resistance and heat conductivity.
